Pre-Primary Section-Inauguration |
Inauguration of pre-primary section Small wonders was done at the hands of Mr.Eknath Shinde (M.L.A) and Mr. Sharma (Principal Vaze Kelkar College) on 27/6/2011. Our management President of Goodwill international foundation Mrs.Nandini R. Vichare,Advisor Mr.Rajan Vichare (M.L.A Thane city) Secretary Mr.Yogesh Sawant. Mr.V.K . Wankhede,( Ex Deputy Director of Education),Mr.Shashikant Kothekar(Sr.Editor Loksatta).Mr.Amit Medekar (M.D. Imap Systems) graced the occasion. |

Investiture Ceremony of Students’Council |
|
To imbibe thecultural values,to create a civic sense and to understand the importance of discipline Students Council is formed every year. This year following procedure was adopted to form the Students’ Council. |
|
Prefects from all classes( from Std I- Std X ) were selected by Principal and teachers after taking interviews and group discussions on 25th June. From among the prefects of Std X Head boy , Head girl and two Reporters were selected.
Investiture Ceremony was conducted on 30 the June. The chief guest of the function was President of Goodwill international foundation Mrs.Nandini R. Vichare, Our school counselor Mr. Solomon Charikar and our principal Mrs. Sobha Nair explained in detail the duties and responsibilities of the class prefects, Head Student, and briefed each one about the same. Madam Vichare gave the batches to all prefects, Head Student and Reporters. She also has encouraged the students with an inspiring speech to all students.

Red Day |
14th July 2011 was observed as Red Day for the pre-primary section. All students, teaching and non teaching staff members came in red colour outfits . Children were introduced to red-colour objects and vegetables in daily life. |

Guru Pournima Celebrations |
We celebrated Guru pournima on 15th July 2011 to express our gratitude and respect to our great teachers. It started with the garlanding the picture of Dr.Radhakrishnan and Guru Vyas . Our President Nandini Vichare Madam And Principal Sobha Nair Madam enlightened us with their speeches.students of pre-primary,primary and secondary sections celebrated the program by performing different skits, and singing songs etc to entertain teachers. |

English Day |
English day was celebrated in our school on 22nd July 2011 to pay tributes to famous literates. Principal Madam made us aware about the role of good language in our career and life when the world has become a global village and English is the language of communication .Elocution competition was conducted for the students of the primary and secondary section on various topics. Students participated in large numbers with lot of enthusiasm. |

Thane Marathon |
Thane Municipal corporation organized a Thane Marathon on 24th July 2011 . 50 students of our school and college participated in that event. |

Vegetable Day |
The children of pre-primary section were made familiar with the various kinds of vegetables which are important for our wholesome food .This day celebrated on 28th July 2011 gave them an exposure to healthy eating. |
|
Parents Visit |
Parents of pre-primary students were invited on 29th July 2011 .They were entertained by their wards with recitation of nursery rhymes and poems. The parents really enjoyed the programme and were delighted to see the progress of their wards. |

Tilak Punyathithi |
This day was celebrated on 1st August 2011 by the children of primary and secondary sections with speeches and skits on the life and works of Lokmanya Tilak. |

Raksha Bandhan |
In Indian culture this day signifies the bond of love between brother and sister . Understanding the spirit of this day on 11th August 2011 the girl students of the school tied Rakhi (a sacred thread) on the wrists of the boy students, followed by distribution of gifts and sweets. |

Fancy Dress Competition |
A fancy dress competition was conducted for pre-primary section on 12th August 2011 . Students came dressed up like Ganesha, Hanuman, Radha Krishna, Bharat Mata, Fairies and Fisher women. |

Independence Day |
The independence day was celebrated on 15th August 2011 with Flag hoisting ceremony by the Chief guest Madam Nandini R Vichare. Mr. Amit Medekar was also present as the management representative. The Head girl of the school and students of Std VIII gave speeches on the importance of the day . The students of Std. VII and VIII sang patriotic songs. A beautiful ‘Lazeem’ performance was also given by the students of Std. VIII. |

Gopal Kala |
Gopal Kala was celebrated on 20th August 2011 with lots of enthusiasm by the primary and secondary sections. Std I students came dressed as Radha and Krishna.The students of Std. VII,VIII & IX made a human pyramid and broke the Dahi Handi which was really an enjoyable moment for the whole school. In the end there was ‘prasad’ distribution.Pre-primary section celebrated Dahi Handi on 23.08.11. .They came as Radha and Krishna and burst balloons and had a real enjoyable occasion. |

Green Day |
The children, the teachers and non-teaching staff of pre-primary section came in green-colour dresses on 25th August 2011 . |

Teacher’s day celebration |
The birthday of Dr. S .Radhakrishnan is celebrated as teacher’s Day. The students of secondary section performed the duties of teachers on 09.09.11. On 10.09.11 Students of Std X became teachers for the classes I to IX. The students of Std X organized a function to felicitate the teachers. The teachers and the non teaching staff were felicitated and was served with a gorgeous lunch by the management. |

Hindi Day |
Hindi Day was celebrated on 14th September 2011 to make the children understand the importance of our national language.A debate competition in Hindi was conducted for different classes of primary section . The topics varied from ‘School rules’ for Std IV , ‘Mobile phone usage’ for Std V and ‘Television’ for Std VI. The students recited poems and also delivered interesting speeches. The students of Std VI sang a patriotic song and students of Std II gave a speech on the importance of Hindi language.
Secondary section also had a debate competition with teams from Std VI, VII , IX and X participating with lot of enthusiasm . The topics were ‘ Television: a curse or a boon’ and ‘Social Networking sites : Negative and positive thinking’ . |

Blue Day |
Blue colour Day was celebrated by the pre-primary section on 15th September 2011. All the students, teachers and non-teaching staff wore blue-colour dresses on this day. |

Geeta Paksh |
Bhagwad geeta is a sacred hym which has lot of spiritual and philosophical content. Our school celebrated Geeta Paksh on 17th September 2011 to emphasise the importance of Geeta in our daily life. A Geeta chanting competition was conducted for the students of Std IV, V and VI on this day. |

Fruits Day |
Pre-primary children celebrated fruits day on 21st September 2011 by bringing different types of fruits. They were made to understand the importance of fruits in our diet. Teachers made salads with fruits and distributed it among the kids. |

Navneet Drawing competition |
Children of pre-primary to Std X participated enthusiastically in this competition on 24th September 2011 . They were put into different groups and accordingly the best entries from each group were sent to Navneet for further selection. |

Flowers Day |
The children of pre-primary, celebrated Flowers Day on 4th October 2011 .They brought different types of flowers and they were introduced to all those flowers like Champa, Jasmine, Zerbera, Shoe flower, Rose, Marigold etc. The children realized the importance of nature in our lives. |

Yellow Day |
Yellow colour Day was celebrated by the pre-primary section on 07th October 2011. All the students, teachers and non-teaching staff wore blue-colour dresses on this day.The children were introduced to various objects with yellow colour. |

Chief Minister Interaction |
Our students got a great opportunity to participate in the Chief Minister’s Youth Interaction programme held in Mumbai. |
